Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to enable Faculty of Communication students to gain familiarity with basic professional terminology in the global media and communication sectors, in accordance with their proficiency levels. The course aims to introduce the most common English concepts in core fields to develop students' skills to identify the Turkish equivalents of these terms and recognize essential professional concepts in English.

Course Content

This course covers essential English terms and professional concepts used in the world of mass communication. Throughout the course, the most basic vocabulary related to the students' fields is addressed. Rather than complex language skills, the content focuses on students' abilities to recognize and distinguish professional English terms, and to match basic content types and core job descriptions in the industry.
