Objectives of the Course

The aim is to provide the necessary visual design, infrastructure, basic code literacy, and interaction design knowledge for an introduction to web design, and to enable the realization of beginner-level web design applications in line with this knowledge.

Course Content

Within the scope of the course, fundamental interaction design principles necessary for web design are covered. Within the framework of these principles, it is learned how to plan an effective user experience while designing website interfaces. Basic coding concepts involving HTML5 are discussed. The theoretical knowledge acquired in the course is turned into projects through beginner-level design and coding applications, enabling students to create simple websites using various methods.

1.The basic internet technologies and terminology necessary to design websites that comply with web standards.
2.Interaction design principles and user experience (UX) processes by analyzing them in digital interface projects.
3.Responsive web pages in accordance with visual hierarchy using basic HTML5 and CSS technologies.
4.Effectively uses and optimizes standard design templates, ready-made content management systems (CMS), and digital graphic tools.
5.Produces and presents an original, accessible, and ethical final web portfolio in a digital environment, using the theoretical and technical knowledge acquired throughout the semester.
