Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to enable students to transfer the layout knowledge they acquired in the first semester into the digital publishing ecosystem, allowing them to specialize in interactive magazine, e-book (EPUB), tablet/mobile layout, and dynamic content management processes. The course aims to develop competencies in interaction and user experience (PO11), new technologies (PO1), and professional specialization (PO13) from the program outcomes with a digital focus.

Course Content

This course aims to transfer students' traditional publishing and layout knowledge into the digital publishing ecosystem. The curriculum covers interactive magazine and e-book (EPUB) design, tablet/mobile layouts, and dynamic content management processes. Utilizing an editorial approach and current technologies, students gain the skills to develop digitally-focused, multi-dimensional projects that prioritize user experience.

1.Adapts static layout principles to interactive digital publishing standards (Liquid/Responsive).
2.Designs interactive navigation systems and user interface (UI) components for digital media.
3.Optimizes content for different screen sizes and devices by developing cross-media strategies.
4.Applies multimedia integration (video, audio, animation) and accessibility standards in digital publications.
5.Evaluates design by analyzing current trends and user experience (UX) data in the digital publishing market.
