The aim of this course is to develop students’ abilities to investigate design problems, analyze contexts, and generate creative solutions within a studio environment. Through design thinking, user-centered approaches, conceptual development, and prototyping processes, students gain interdisciplinary design production experience.
The course covers design research, problem definition, user analysis, ideation, sketching, prototyping, visual communication, presentation techniques, and design critique. Throughout the semester, students develop one or more design projects based on real or hypothetical design problems.
