Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the fundamental theories, formal and aesthetic principles, digital modeling processes, and contemporary approaches of three-dimensional design. The course aims to develop students’ ability to create creative and functional three-dimensional designs by understanding the relationships among volume, form, space, material, light, and composition in digital environments.

Course Content

This course covers the fundamental concepts of three-dimensional design, design elements and principles, form and volume relationships, space and perspective, digital modeling techniques, surface and material applications, lighting and shading, composition, character and environment modeling, digital sculpting, rendering and presentation techniques, and AI-supported three-dimensional design processes.

Learning Outcomes
1.Explain the fundamental concepts and terminology of three-dimensional design.
2.Apply principles of form, volume, balance, rhythm, and composition in three-dimensional design processes.
3.Develop original three-dimensional models using digital modeling techniques.
4.Utilize material, texture, light, and color relationships in digital designs.
5.Analyze three-dimensional design problems and generate creative solutions.
6.Present projects professionally using rendering and presentation techniques.
7.Integrate current digital technologies and AI tools into three-dimensional design processes.
8.Develop critical thinking and design evaluation skills in individual and collaborative works.
