Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge of digital printing technologies, including their historical development, operating principles, prepress processes, digital printing systems, color management, printing substrates, and production workflows. Throughout the course, students will analyze different digital printing techniques and develop design and production skills applicable to industrial printing environments.

Course Content

Paper information, grammage, press techniques, printing processes, graphic designer's role and printing possibilities on various materials are given.

1.Explains the operating principles, historical development, and color management processes of different digital printing systems at a theoretical level.
2.Prepares designs in accordance with digital printing standards by fully executing prepress processes.
3.Analyzes the characteristics of various printing substrates and selects the most appropriate digital printing technique and transfer method for the surface.
4.Utilizes digital printing techniques and workflows for industrial production processes in practical projects.
5.Develops design and production outputs at industrial standards by accurately transferring the printed material onto the final product.
