It also seeks to enhance students’ critical analysis skills and to read visual-cultural heritage and the social fabric from an interdisciplinary perspective in relation to aesthetics and design practice.

Theoretical foundations of art history and sociology of art; the relationship between visual composition and aesthetics and social structures (culture, economy, politics); contextual analysis of mass communication, spectacle culture, and everyday objects; critical analysis of historical and contemporary art/design practices through formal, iconographic, and social reading methods.
