Department Head
Education in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics started in September 2013.
There are 6 lecturers and 4 lecturers in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Nutrition and Dietetics graduates work in health institutions (private and public hospitals, polyclinics, health centers, dialysis centers, etc.), mass nutrition sector (food factories, hotel food and beverage departments, all private and public institutions that provide mass nutrition, etc.) , public health centers (mother and child health centers, family health centers, orphanages and nursing homes, sports centers, etc.), food industry, research institutions, educational institutions and their private workplace.
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics trains dietitians with universal ideas and values ??in accordance with the qualifications determined within the framework of international standards in order to protect and improve health and to increase the quality of life through adequate and balanced nutrition of the society.
History
Aydın School of Health was closed according to the decision number 2016/8555 of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Newspaper dated 08.04.2016 and numbered 29678, and two separate faculties were established, namely the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Nursing, with the same decision.
Nutrition and Dietetics department was opened on 01.12.2006. The department started education with a total of 80 students in 2013-2014 academic year by taking 40 students to primary and secondary education with YGS-2 score.
Mission
In order to protect, develop and improve the life-long health of the society through adequate and balanced nutrition, and to increase the quality of life, by implementing science and technology-based education and training programs at international standards and providing research opportunities, to train high-quality "dietitians" who have universal ideas and values, who are devoted to Atatürk's principles and revolutions, to present their production in research, education and service areas for the benefit of society and to develop continuously.

To be a nationally and internationally recognized, preferred, exemplary education and research institution; to produce scientific data by contributing to the healthy nutrition and development of the society; To train graduates equipped in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Purpose
To increase the quality of teaching and to provide continuous improvement, to graduate professional dietitians at national and international standards, to contribute to public health and the development of the profession.
Physical Infrastructure
Classrooms in the Faculty of Health Sciences building are used jointly with other departments by the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. In our faculty building, there are classrooms, equipment, surface area, environmental facilities, laboratories and units. The areas available in our faculty building are used in the most effective way in coordination between departments. Academic staff carry out the current program by working devotedly. There is a computer, projection device, projection screen, lecture halls and a blackboard in the classrooms where theoretical courses will be taught.
There are 3 laboratories used for conducting courses and other services. Nutrition Principles Laboratory is 70 m², Research Laboratory is 40 m², Anthropometry Laboratory (Nutrition and Diet Consultancy Center) is 12 m². Nutrition Principles Laboratory has a capacity of 50 students.
There are 2 body composition analyzer, 1 caliper, 1 stadiometer, 1 computer and printer in the Anthropometry Laboratory.
