Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the concept of health, the health system approach, and the core components of health services management; and to analyze the organization, classification, financing, quality management, equity, accessibility, sustainability, and teamwork dimensions of health services within the context of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Course Content

Concept of health, determinants of health, health system and systems approach, classification and levels of health services, health services management, accessibility, continuity, efficiency, quality, patient safety, equity, ethical and legal dimensions, supply-demand and financing in health services, primary health care approach, national and international health organizations, and the role of nutrition and dietetics services within the health system.

1.Explains the concepts of health, health system, and health services management within the framework of a systems approach.
2.Classifies health services in terms of types, levels, stakeholders, and organizational structures.
3.Analyzes accessibility, continuity, efficiency, quality, patient safety, equity, and ethical principles in health services.
4.Interprets supply-demand, financing, resource allocation, and performance indicators in health services.
5.Evaluates the role of nutrition and dietetics services within health institutions and the health system in the context of teamwork.
6.Identifies case-based problems related to health services management, develops evidence-based solutions, and presents them in written and oral formats.
