The aim of this course is to provide an understanding of the role of nutrition in various diseases and to develop competence in planning, implementing, and monitoring individualized dietary treatments by acquiring theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to medical nutritional therapy in bone and joint, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidney, neurological, psychiatric, respiratory system, and infectious diseases, as well as specific clinical conditions.
The fundamental principles of medical nutritional therapy in bone and joint diseases, liver, gallbladder, pancreas and kidney diseases, patients undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, neurological and psychiatric diseases, food allergies and test diets, respiratory system diseases, burns and infectious diseases include determining disease-specific energy and nutrient requirements, evaluating nutritional status, planning, implementing and monitoring appropriate dietary treatment.
