The aim of this course is to enable students to assess the nutritional status and dietary habits of the community in the field using scientific methods, evaluate and interpret the collected data, and gain competencies in nutrition education, material development, implementation, reporting, and teamwork to raise awareness of adequate, balanced, and sustainable nutrition among individuals and communities
The course covers community nutrition practices in primary health care and social service settings, including field study planning, target group and needs assessment, development of data collection tools, evaluation of nutritional status and dietary habits, priority setting, nutrition education and counseling, preparation of educational materials, evaluation of implementation outcomes, report writing, and presentation.
