Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is to help students develop basic English terminology and language skills related to their professional field.

Course Content

This course covers basic English grammar and teaches students how to understand reading passages related to their professional field and answer questions about those passages.

1.Correctly identifies and uses basic English concepts, terms, and technical vocabulary related to the professional field.
2.Conducts a structural analysis by identifying the tenses, sentence structures, and subordinate clauses used in professional reading texts.
3.By recognizing the conjunctions and transitional phrases in reading passages, students establish logical connections between sentences and ideas
4.Accurately analyzes the main idea, supporting ideas, and the author’s purpose in English academic or industry-specific texts related to their field.
5.Answers open-ended or multiple-choice questions about reading passages related to their field of study, based on evidence from the text.
6.Effectively uses English-language written sources, articles, and documents related to their field for professional development or research.
