Objectives of the Course

Learning about nutrients, nutritional status, nutrient-drug interactions, and nutrient-drug interactions in certain diseases.

Course Content

Food interactions with various drug groups; Effect of medication treatment on nutritional status; Interactions between drugs and carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, vitamins and minerals. Drug interactions in special situations such as elderliness, pregnancy, lactation.

1.Explains the fundamental mechanisms of food-drug interactions.
2.Analyzes clinically significant interactions between widely used drug groups and nutrients through examples.
3.Develops a dietary plan and nutritional recommendations aimed at preventing food-drug interactions.
4.Assesses nutritional risks based on individuals' medication use and determines the appropriate counseling approach.
5.Critically evaluates the scientific literature on food-drug interactions based on the level of evidence.
