The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge and skills in the fundamental concepts of clinical nutrition, nutritional assessment, indications and principles of enteral and parenteral nutrition, and the characteristics of nutrition support products. The course also aims to enable students to plan, implement, and monitor evidence-based nutrition support in adult and pediatric patients.
This course covers malnutrition and starvation metabolism, nutritional assessment in clinical practice, basic concepts and terminology in clinical nutrition, indications, administration methods, product characteristics, and practical calculations for enteral and parenteral nutrition. It also addresses current approaches to planning, implementing, and monitoring nutrition support in adult and pediatric patients. Case-based discussions are used to enhance clinical decision-making skills.
