Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to develop students' discussion, interpretation and questioning skills and their ability to persuade the public on sports management issues.

Course Content

Dialectics, the art of discussion and thinking, and the ability of prospective managers to make impressive and persuasive speeches are taught and developed.

Introduction to the Concepts of Dialectics and Rhetoric and Conceptual Knowledge.
Week 2 - Theoretical & Practice
Discussion of the concepts of thesis, antithesis and synthesis and an application.
Week 3 - Theoretical
The benefits and historical development of rhetoric and dialectics.
Week 4 - Theoretical
Types of rhetoric and explanation of Aristotelian rhetoric (concepts of Logos, Pathos and Ethos).
