Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to examine disadvantaged groups exposed to structural inequalities in working life through a multidimensional perspective, and to evaluate social policy approaches that promote their equal and effective participation in employment processes. Students are expected to develop policy recommendations to enhance the social inclusion of disadvantaged groups within the framework of decent work principles.

Course Content

The concept of disadvantaged groups in working life; structural challenges faced by persons with disabilities, long-term unemployed individuals, child laborers, unemployed youth, women, and those employed under flexible working conditions; social policy tools and programs designed to enhance their participation in the labor market; institutional and societal barriers in implementation and potential solutions.
