Objectives of the Course

The aim is to enable students to acquire basic knowledge about the external structures (morphology), body organization, and internal organ systems (anatomy) of insects.

Course Content

Insect body organization: head, thorax, abdomen. Basic structures of the head, insect mouth structure and types, thoracic structures: leg morphology, adaptive leg types, wings and their characteristics. Characteristics of the abdomen, male and female reproductive structures, respiratory, circulatory, digestive and reproductive systems and their basic structures in insects.
