The aim is to enable students to acquire basic knowledge about the external structures (morphology), body organization, and internal organ systems (anatomy) of insects.
Insect body organization: head, thorax, abdomen. Basic structures of the head, insect mouth structure and types, thoracic structures: leg morphology, adaptive leg types, wings and their characteristics. Characteristics of the abdomen, male and female reproductive structures, respiratory, circulatory, digestive and reproductive systems and their basic structures in insects.
| 1. | Students describe the structure and functions of the insect integument. |
| 2. | Students explain the basic insect anatomy. |
| 3. | Students explain the structures and functions of legs and wings in different insect groups. |
| 4. | Students describe the anatomy of insect reproductive structures. |
| 5. | Students explain the anatomy and functions of the reproductive, respiratory, digestive, and circulatory systems in insects. |
| 6. | Students are able to analyze reproductive strategies and mating behaviors of insects. |
