Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the topics in the course content.

Course Content

Continuity, convergence, countability and separation axioms, compactness, Tychonoff theorem, compactifications, metrization theorems, connectedness, complete metric spaces and function spaces, uniform spaces, Baire spaces.

2.Ability to explain the concepts of T0, T1, Hausdorff, regular and normal spaces and their relations

4.Ability to explain Tychonoff's theorem and its applications
5.Ability to explain the concepts of Cauchy sequences and complete metric spaces
