INTERNSHIPS

Internship is obligatory in some departments/programs in which it is integrated into the curriculum. This kind of application aims to allow the student to gain some work experience, apply their skills and abilities in the sector, and improve the decision making skills of the individual.

The host institutions for such internship/practice include companies, education and research centres.

Student mobility for placements enables students at higher education institutions to spend a placement (traineeship/internship) period between 3 months and 12 months in an enterprise or organization in another participating country in order to help students to adapt to the requirements of the EU-wide labour market; to enable students to develop specific skills including language skills and to improve understanding of the economic and social culture of the country concerned in the context of acquiring work experience; to promote cooperation between higher education institutions and enterprises; and to contribute to the development of a pool of well-qualified, open-minded and internationally experienced young people as future professionals.

Students registered in a higher education institution holding an Extended Erasmus University Charter and Enterprises, training centres, research centres and other organisations can benefit from the program.

As a higher education institution with an extended University Charter, incoming and outgoing Placement Mobility is active in most of the departments of Adnan Menderes University.

The University has contributed a great deal to the social structure of the city through its scientific, cultural and social events in recent years. Numerous events are organized especially in the Atatürk Congress Hall – which is one of the best equipped and developed complexes in the Aegean Region. Culture and Arts Festivals are periodically organized every year and attract the participation of many students.

Students also have have opportunity to use the Indoor Sports Facility, which has a 2000 audience capacity, the Sports and Culture Hall located in the city centre, and open air sports facilities in the different campuses serve for the use of students. A semi-olympic swimming pool has also been recently opened.

Our sports teams successfully take part in various regional, national and international events every year.
