Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to equip students with the fundamental knowledge and skills of first aid in order to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, and promote recovery until professional medical assistance arrives in cases of accidents, injuries, and sudden illnesses. In addition, the course aims to develop students’ ability to respond correctly and consciously to emergency situations that may occur in tourism and hospitality workplaces.

Course Content

This course aims to equip students with the fundamental knowledge and skills of first aid to preserve life and prevent the condition from worsening until professional medical assistance arrives in cases of accidents, injuries, and sudden illnesses. The course covers essential topics such as scene safety, basic life support, airway obstruction, bleeding, injuries, fractures, burns, poisoning, and emergency management. In addition, case-based applications related to emergencies in tourism and hospitality establishments are included to enhance students’ sector-specific awareness and practical understanding.

1.Explains the basic principles and rules of first aid.
2.Assesses the scene of an emergency and takes the necessary safety precautions.
3.In emergencies, they assess the scene and take the necessary safety precautions.
4.It explains the first aid procedures to be followed in cases of bleeding, shock, fractures, dislocations and sprains.
5.Applies the correct first aid procedures in cases of burns, frostbite and poisoning.
6.Uses first aid knowledge to deal with emergencies that may arise in tourism businesses.
