Objectives of the Course

To teach the concept of limnological terminology as well as physical, chemical and biological features and interactions of freshwater water, wetland and rivers. To teach biological activities of freshwaters and effect of environmental factors and their pressure on changing those ecosystems

Course Content

History of limnology, relationship between water, freshwater biota and environmental factors and their mechanism. Characteristics and similarity and diiferances of lotic and lentic ecosystems. Pressures on freshwters and pollution problem. Water management.

2.To be able to recocnise water life and biota and roughly assesing the water quality by using this information
3.To be able to understand population dynamics of freshwaters and their strycture and functioning

5.Knowing environmental factors affect to the lentic systems
