Objectives of the Course

To obtain knowledge about function and importance of fishing vessels and introduce them the basic design principles of commercial fishing boats. To know life and working conditions at sea.

Course Content

General term of seamanship, terms relevant to maneuvering of the ship, tonnage, ship types and general classifications, fuel and electricity systems and other auxiliary components, boat deck machinery and commercial fishing equipment, safety equipment, fish storage on deck, fish finders and other electronic equipment used for navigation, vessel maintenance.
