The Department of Public Relations and Advertising, which is located in Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Communication, is continuing on its way with 1 associate professor and 4 assistant professors as a department in the establishment phase. Today's public relations and advertising work are rooted in establishing the right dialogue between institutions and target groups. Our students in the field of public relations have a solid foundation with current studies and applications such as corporate communication, media relations, marketing communication, writing of public relations texts, internal communication, digital communication, social responsibility, sponsorship management and crisis management while the theoretical and practical Through the courses, we are also growing as communicators who can respond to the needs of the sector with the application units we have and can hear their names in the competitions.
History
The Department of Public Relations and Advertising, one of the four departments within the Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Communication, received the first master students in the 2018-2019 academic year.
Mission
The main objective of our department is to train professional, interrogative, participatory, democratic communication professionals who are committed to professional rules and ethical values. Our mission is to train communicators and media professionals who are capable of working in Turkey as well as in the international arena in compliance with the requirements of the times, qualified and productive, capable of thinking analytically and critically, aware of their professional ethics responsibilities and public interest requirements, and communication skills and to realize qualified academic researches and publications at national and international levels on communication and media studies and relevant interdisciplinary subjects.

Our vision is to become a center of perfection well-accepted in education and research at national and international planes in the professional world and scientific platforms.
Purpose
Providing a training which reflects the multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary nature of communication and media studies with theoretical and practical dimensions, Training media and communication professionals capable of working in the creation, design and management of content in Turkey as well as in the international arena, Enabling students to gain the theoretical experience necessitated by the latest developments in information, communication and media technologies and creating applied job opportunities, Enabling students to acquire information and skills for job and career in the fields which promise new employment opportunities in media and communication sectors, Encouraging productivity and creativity by means of multi-directional cooperation with relevant sectors and project-based studies and practices, Enabling students to acquire information and skills in conducting researches, compiling data, evaluating and generating information in media, communication and relevant fields, Promoting democratic and participatory, pluralistic and critical approaches and egalitarian and liberal communication models with the awareness of public interest and social responsibility.
Physical Infrastructure
It is planned to establish a television studio within the faculty where students can practice. In this respect, an area of ??180 m² has been allocated and has been structured as a television studio. In addition, a MAC computer with 40 computers, a 25 computer editing studio and a photography studio are used for student applications.
Technical Infrastructure
3 Full HD outdoor cameras, 2 Avid editing systems, DSLR cameras, sound and lighting equipment were also provided to support the practice lessons of the students.
