Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach students the relationship between power, ideology and discourse.

Course Content

This course defines the field of discourse analysis, the scope of the field, the basic concepts and terms related to the field of discourse. Interprets the historical development of the field, reviews the different theories and approaches in discourse analysis, evaluates major studies in this field and their contributions to discourse analysis.
